Designing a better Grove Lane
We asked Churchman Landscape Architects to design a better Grove Lane, with wider pavements, easier crossings and more trees. This is what they produced. What do you think? Please use the comments link below.

The Grove Lane Project
This is the Grove Lane Project blog. We are a campaign group dedicated to improving the streetscape in Grove Lane, Camberwell, London SE5.
Grove Lane is quiet road, near the centre of Camberwell. It has two pubs and a cafe. There are some lovely buildings, old and new. There are a couple of exciting developments waiting to happen.
It should be a great place for pedestrians, for eating outside, for drinking coffee, for shopping, for meeting friends.
But, at the moment, it is not fulfilling its potential. It suffers from narrow pavements, underinvestment, clutter. It looks a little sad.
Our objective is to make Grove Lane a great place to be and a street that Camberwell can be proud of.
Over the coming months, we will be posting updates on our campaign.
